AmeriCorps Member Jazmin Morillon began coming to CityArts when she was 12 years old as a student.
When she aged out at 15, she immediately began volunteering at CityArts programs. After her senior year of high school, she became a teaching assistant in the summer employment program.
Now, she is teaching as an AmeriCorps teaching artist at Highlander Charter School.
She is also attending Lincoln Tech and plans on applying to Lesley University in the fall, where she hopes to pursue a degree in Art Therapy.

“This summer, I realized that working at ¡CityArts! wasn’t just about teaching kids how to make art….I realized that I have the most amazing opportunity right in front of me," says Jazmin.
"I have the opportunity to make a difference in these children’s lives. I have the opportunity to help them see how great they are. At the end of the day I am glad I work for ¡CityArts! because it’s a program that can help change many lives.”
